They will know we are Christians by…
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all
people, especially to those who belong to the family of
believers. ~ Galatians 6:10
In one of Paul’s first letters, he begged his Christian
family in Galatia not to compare their salvation to that of
others. Because in doing so, they had grown tired and
burdened. Paul told them instead to concentrate on the good
that they could do. It was here he mentioned the fruits of
the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
gentleness, and self-control).
Having a relationship with
Christ means living as Christ would live. While Christ may
have died, he spent all of his time up to that point “doing
good” (Acts 10:38). This year we want to spend our time
doing no less. Before we can tell our community about
Christ, we have to show them who Christ is. They will never
believe us, if they don’t see it in our lives. Below are
some opportunities for us to take our lives of prayer,
knowledge, wisdom, and spiritual understanding and for us to “do good” to others.
